The CD-browser used on this CD was developed by the OpenCD project and is powered by the K-meleon browser, a Mozilla-derivative. The OpenCD contains a wider selection of Windows-based open source, including:

- Blender - 3D modeling and animation
- Celestia - desktop planetarium
- Gimp - advanced image editing
- MoinMoin - desktop wiki
- NVU - visual web page authoring
- OpenOffice.org - full-featured office suite
- PDFCreator - make PDF files in any application
